MIND-BODY HEALING

Mind-body healing is based on the deep connection between our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves and how each affects the other. It sees the person as an organic whole, where mental and emotional states directly affect health and wellness. It is similar to spiritual healing because it sees meaning in each of our symptoms, and assumes that there is a healing energy within each of us which can get blocked or out of balance.

As a mind-body healer, I regard myself as a facilitator, helping you to access your natural healing capabilities.

The techniques I use to help you to access your natural healing energy are:

Focusing, where you focus on subtle bodily sensations and simply notice them in minute detail.

Guided meditations, which allow your own creative force to emerge and lead you to a deeper connection with yourself.

Dream work, where we consider what your deep unconscious is telling you about your illness or life struggles.

Deep relaxation work, where you listen to healing scripts while in a deeply relaxed state.

Energy healing, where I use touch and meditation to activate and balance the healing energy within you.

I regard mind-body healing as a deeply spiritual approach to resolving life dilemmas. It is deeply spiritual because it allows us to redefine our life struggles and see them as part of a sacred process. Our mistakes, the parts of ourselves we dislike, the pains of our past and present all contain within them the seeds of the sacred. As we incorporate this understanding we can begin to embrace all of ourselves, our struggles, our pain and our joy. This is the process of personal transformation.
