MY BACKGROUND

I am a graduate of the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy in Toronto, A Society of Souls, based in Princeton, New Jersey, and the Institute for Core Energetics, based in New York City. I also hold a Master of Therapeutic Counselling (MTC) degree from The Open International University for Complementary Medicines of the World Health Organization. I have two bachelor degrees, one from the University of British Columbia, and the other from the University of Toronto.

I have practiced both Hindu and Buddhist meditation, and after a number of years found myself searching for something similar in the western spiritual tradition. Friends told me about Jason Shulman's healing program based upon the Judaic mystical tradition of the Kabbalah (www.kabbalah.org). This program satisfied two of my major interests - mind-body healing and spiritual practice.

I have practiced psychotherapy in Toronto and Ottawa since 1993 (I lived in Ottawa for three years). My practice is enriched by considerable life and work experience, personal therapy work, ongoing collegial contact, spiritual exploration, continuing exploration of natural states of altered consciousness, and movement/body work.

I am a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy.
